Band Biography:

Redscar are a thrash/groove metal band hailing from the North East of England, naming themselves after their home town. Teesside Steelworks were responsible for modern global metal production, so Redscar follow this heritage by producing what they aim to be the next wave of modern global metal music.

Blending fast, aggressive riffage with heavy, groovy licks to keep the audience moving and on their toes-Redscar's mission is simply shock and awe.

Influenced by the likes of Pantera, Metallica and Gojira, Redscar forge these influences into something new that every audience enjoys.

Jamie 'The Don' Donohue - Drums

This four piece came together after their former project Trendkill came to an end. Recruiting Jamie on drums and later Chariot for vocals, Redscar became a strong chain with no weak links and immediately set sights on complete stage domination.

Aswell as playing as many shows across the country as they can, Redscar plan to produce hard hitting singles and live recorded style demos to offer audiences for both streaming platforms and physical releases.

Current notable achievments: Jonny and Isaac are supported artists of Blackstar Amplification, winners of Metal 2 the Masses Newcastle 2026 and recently played the mighty New Blood stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2026.
